Holiday
Cottage Kirkcudbright
(sleeps up to 8 + cot)
Croig holiday cottage is situated in Police Close, one of the many
ancient closes leading off Kirkcudbright's Old High Street. Tastefully
enlarged and converted, it is hard to imagine Croig as the dark
and gloomy cells of rthe original police station from whence the
name of the old close derives.

Kirkcudbright pronounced: (Kir-coo-bree)
Some cultural attractions of the town include a castle, Tolbooth
(now an arts centre), a working harbour and a museum crammed full
of interesting objects from the local area.
For the more energetic the town offers a great deal: the popular
swimming pool, suitable for all ages and abilities, public tennis
courts, Wildlife Park, river trips, fishing, historic walks around
the town. There are also many lovely beaches just a short drive
away as well as many country walks in and around the area.
In the summer months the town offers a very varied range of cultural
and entertaining festivities to suit all tastes. In and around the
town there are many excellent eating places, catering for all tastes
and all budgets.
