Kirkcudbright 'Artists Town' in beautiful Dumfries &
Galloway is situated just six miles off the main A75 trunk
route from Dumfries to Stranraer. It has many places of
interest and things to do.
Stroll around and see the various exhibitions in the
many little galleries or perhaps watch the boats unload
their catches at the picturesque harbour.

Summer Festivities suitable for all age groups and
interests. Summer Festivities events have been organised
through July & August including Photo Exhibitions,
Art Exhibitions and musical events.

Spring Fling
28th - 30th May
Art and craft open studio event. Make a weekend of
it in Dumfries and Galloway.
Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival
16th, 17th, 18th and 19th June
A celebration of classic New Orleans and Dixieland
Jazz and Swing music, with a Saturday street parade
of decorated brollies, a Sunday jazz service and opportunities
to dine to jazz in local restaurants.
Galloway Children's Festival

The Galloway Children's Festival is an important and
eagerly awaited event in Kirkcudbright's ever-increasing
collection of summertime events. With all kinds of entertainment
for children of all ages With all kinds of entertainment
for children of all ages including story-telling, music,
play-acting, clowns and rides there is plenty to hold
their attention and fascination over the day.
Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities
Scottish Nights on Thursday Nights
21st, 28th July
4th, 11th, 18th, 25th August
Held in the Harbour Square, a natural arena in the
middle of town, the night features traditional Scottish
Pipe music from our award winning Kirkcudbright and
District Pipe Band supported by the Stewartry Area Wind
Band and Galloway Pipers, Scottish Country Dancers,
Highland Dancers and other traditional entertainment.
7pm - 8.30pm each night.
And best of all - ENTRY IS FREE.
